ACGHK 2012 Part 2

P7280631
AGE-1 Titus beating up a Danazine

Like previous years, one of the attractions for attending ACGHK fair is to see the entry models for the Gunpla competition, which is now called Bandai Gunpla Builders World Cup (GBWC), with Hong Kong being one of the regions to enter for the final that will be held at the end of the year. As I took quite a few photos this time, the Gunpla models coverage will be split into two posts. Let's see the first half of the photos!

P7280632
SD Gundams modified to Journey to the West

P7280633
Ball as ashigaru, foot soldiers of the feudal Japan

P7280656
A Sleeves Zaku II standing over its defeated enemy

P7280657
A well cooked Hygogg. Although this is actually not new (a similar work has been made years before), it's still pretty funny to look at.

P7280658
Wing Gundam excavation. This won one of the awards.

P7280659
Brave Commander Test Type landing a blow on 00Q

P7280660

MG Gundam F-91 Normal and Harrison's colour blended into one

P7280664
Gundam AGE-1 with a pair of original cannons

P7280665
Neo Zeon vs... Anaheim Electronics rather than Earth Federation? This is odd as Anaheim Electronics actually support both sides for many conflicts. Nevertheless it's an interesting setup

P7280666
A mixture between Gogg and Hygogg, nicknamed by the modeller as the "Midgogg"

P7280667
A beefed up Ball with extra cannon, thrusters, and even a spoiler at the back

  1. There are some really nice dioramas this year and the ones that were picked really deserved the awards. For a minute, the custom ReZEL reminded me of a Zoid with all that armament.

Avengers and Olympic SD Gundam were a riot.

    1. The ReZEL really draws a lot of attention and it deserves the award for its details. Many others like the Avengers and Olympic SD are worth mentioning!

  2. Cool, I've never seen anything like this before. The olympics one seems really fitting right now, but my favourite is the Wing Gundam excavation, it looks amazing.

    1. The Olympic one is very fitting for the time of the year, and it's a nice touch from the maker. The Wing Gundam excavation truly is well done, and I'm surprised it's made by a teenager (or at least it's submitted under that age group)!
