Hatsune Miku x FamilyMart Food Collaboration

Photobucket
To celebrate her 5th anniversary (or birthday), Hatsune Miku is having a collaboration with FamilyMart!

There are quite a number of stuff to go with the 5th collaboration project, including figures as a raffle ticket draw and also a MP3 player. But the food is what attracts my attention this time as it's not something one sees very often. Gigazine bought a number of them, let's see what FamilyMart has to offer!

Photobucket
An onigiri called Miku to Luka Negi Maguro, which has leek and tuna with a bit of egg inside too

Photobucket
Zangi Mayo Omusubi (ザンギマヨおむすび). Zangi is what karaage is called in Hokkaido, and omusubi is apparently a variation of onigiri.

Photobucket
Miku no Negi Tama Chaahan fried rice, based on the song Chaahan tsukuruyo! (チャーハン作るよ!)

Photobucket
Assorted noodle called Hiyashi Chuka Hajimemashita, based on a song of the same name (冷やし中華始めました)

Photobucket
Yakitori Hacchune Chicken Burger

Photobucket
Miku no Yasai Salad

Photobucket
Brioche of which the princess likes to eat in the song "Servant of Evil" (悪ノ召使) sung by Kagamine Len

Photobucket
Sugar chocolate waffle, based on a song of the same name.

Photobucket
KAITO's fruit soda ice - that's right, it's his favourite snack

Photobucket
Po Pi Po Mirai Yasai vegetable juice, based on the song Po Pi Po.

Photobucket
A plastic bottle version of the said vegetable juice is also available.

Photobucket
Negishio Yakisoba, based on the song Pair & Young Davah, featuring artwork from CHANXCO.

Photobucket
Last but not least, Miku beat buns. Who will be willing to eat them? ^^;

Photobucket
To make them more recognisable, they're stored in a separate cabinet too ^^;;

There is also a video promoting the campaign too:

Normally I would have expected such food will look so-so or not too apetitising, but looking at some of the pictures from Gigazine, some of them do look attractive, and at least good enough for me to wish to try some (that is if I am in Japan).

I like how some of the food is based on song names, and how the artwork used in the music videos are also transposed onto the food packaging. The campaign will last for 39 days (where 39 = Miku) from 14th August to 21st September. For more details you can have a look at FamilyMart's news release, or the dedicated campaign website.

      1. Miku singing the entry chime in the video is cute! I think I would do the same thing too if it really is implemented in the stores XD

      1. While I am not a fan of vegetable juice, I know a few friends who wish the Popipo juice to become a reality, and it really has now! I am sure a lot of people want this collobaration to be done in their own places too!

    3. I would have to grab some Meat Buns and Negishio Yakisoba. Like Persocom, can they replace my local 7-11 so I can get them?

      1. Haha I'd be worried too if I get to have access to many things I like! You use Miku wares, eat Miku food, and play with Miku figures and games! The PV really is cute, and it's funny seeing the guy feeling relaxed and satisfied on the long version XD
