Custom "Chinese Gundam" Gunpla

Photobucket
Moeyo has spotted a fan-made custom Gunpla of the "Chinese Gundam" in Treasure Festa event 5. More images of this bizzare yellow "Gundam" after the jump.

"Chinese Gundam" (actual name further down the post, but this is the name that most people recognise it as) in 3 slightly different angles. Judging from the details this should be in 1/144 scale.

... And the "original" here in Chengdu Floral Land amusement park. This "Chinese Gundam" is known as 天鄉二號 (Tian Xiang Er Hao, or Tian Xiang Number 2, although some sources quote it as 天香二號). It originally had an appearance that resembles much closer to the original RX-78-2 Gundam before it was sued by Sotsu. The "Chinese Gundam" is then altered to what we see now, and funny enough there are a good amount of fanart slowly being generated, not just by the Chinese community, but also by the Japanese community too.

Man, this fanart makes the "Chinese Gundam" look quite... Badass ^^;

  2. I think if you just took off the radiation symbol off, and painted it in standard Gundam colors, it could really badass IMO.

  3. Wow, I can't believe someone actually made a model of that "Gundam" XD

  4. Very nicely done. But jeeze, that yellow...makes me second guess a color scheme I had in mind for a project later down the line.

    Hahaha you're liking the design XD I've just found the creator's blog and its post, so I will get to post the 'ingredients' soon enough.

    @ Tom:
    It's like a Gouf x Gundam hybrid with the pipes and horns everywhere. Reverting back to original blue/white/red is an easy choice and that will not go wrong (well most of the time). Maybe the orangey yellow will look a bit better if it has some metallic lustre feel to it. I wonder what other colours will also look good on it... Or maybe some dark colours / themes? :o

    @ Nopy:
    Me too ^^; Made me laugh that somebody actually went through the efforts to make this, and I heard rumours that conversion garage kits exist for it too~

    @ korewagundam:
    The orangey yellow makes some people jokingly called this Heine Westenfluss Custom. The colour gives you an idea for your next project? That sounds intriguing :o

    I've now added the 'recipe' list, which is taken from the original creator's blog. You can now make yours too if you want to XD

    @ Tom:
    The radiation plate can look better with something else replacing it. As for the colours, I think that something of a darker tone or even just give it more of a metallic lustre feel to it will make it look a bit better than it is already. :o

    @ Nopy:
    And funny enough it's a Japanese who makes this model of the "bootleg" there ^^;

    @ korewagundam:
    Some people joked that yellow is hinting the "Gundam" to be Heine Westenfluss custom (laughs). The colour gives you an idea for a future project? You got me intrigued there :o

    @ LEon:
    Pretty much so, although I think the Gouf fits more in this case than the Zaku due to the curved horns all over the frame.
