Kotobukiya Misaka-mori
Kotobukiya has recently released shokugan trading figures of Misaka(s) from Toaru Majutsu no Index (とある魔術の禁書目録)... In numbers. Meet the Misaka-mori (ミサカ盛り)~
MISAKA sisters (aka Misaka Imoutos)
Mikoto Misaka
Last Order & Accelerator
Size comparison with MISAKA sister and a coin
With masses of MISAKA sisters, you can think of different ways to play with them XD
As they are shokugans, each trading figure is packed in one windowless box. One set has 12 boxes hence all types of figures (9 MISAKA sisters, 1 Mikoto Misaka, 1 Last Order, and 1 Accelerator).
Individual boxes are sold for 400 Yen each, while 1 set of 12 boxes is sold for 4800 Yen (tax not included).
Sets of Misaka-mori trading figures are still available for order on Hobby Search.
These little kneeling Misakas really remind me of a very similar set from PLEX - the Zaku Mania series ^^
Both series have the kneeling positions and rotatable heads. Compared to Misaka-mori, Zaku Mania has 15 figures each, all in one box, and are siginificantly cheaper too (1200 Yen) ^^;
Misaka-mori images are from GA Graphic
Zaku Mania images are from Hobby Search (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3)

aww! No rear shots? Then you can't see that Misaka is wearing shorts unlike the striped panties the sisters all wear!

ReplyDeleteOoh you want to see the shorts and stripes in full glory? No problem. I'll give your eyes a treat with a pyramind of them!

YAY!
ReplyDeletefor some reason, it just doesn't feel right without the totally anticlimatic "panty" view from Mikoto.
@ gundamjehutykai:
ReplyDeleteHahaha. I have yet to watch Index or Railgun (I'm very behind on anime these days), but Mikoto standing out from the rest of her "imotous" is quite something for the fans!
I'm kinda regretting and glad I cancelled this at the same time. I regret not having them, but glad because they somehow don't look as good as I'd hope. They'll have an April re-release, so I may take my chance then, but for now I don't have the money ^^; And it's really just the original Mikoto that I like. The sisters are secondary to me >.>

ReplyDeleteOne can't expect too much for trading figures, but they do seem rather expensive for their sizes, compared to the Zaku mania series which are very similar.
Aww, no love for the MIKOTO sisters? Or are there too many sisters for you to love? XD
