Captions to come later today
Good ol' Exia and 00 Gundam statues, which have appeared in the same venue back in 2008 and 2009 ^^;
Statue of Unicorn Gundam in Destroy Mode.
Just as I have predicted back in ACGHK 2010, it did make an appearance in this event ^^
PG Strike Freedom on display, along with previous incarnations ranging from SD to MG
SD Sangokuden stuff get a few sets of diorama displays like the previous years.
Gundam 00 movie gunpla
Gundam 00 2nd season gunpla
Gundam UC (Unicorn) gunpla
Shokugans and gashapon toys on display
HG 1/144 Brave Commander Test Type. This pose looks like it's undergoing transformation from MA mode to MS mode.
Upcoming 2nd volume of FW Gundam Coverage shokugans. Looks pretty good I'd say.
Robot Damashii Destiny Gundam, not yet released
HG 1/144 Beginning Gundam
HGFC 1/144 Nobel Gundam, to be released soon
MG 1/100 00 Quan[T], already released
Display case for the RG 1/144 Char's Zaku II, along with RG 1/144 Gundam and Mega Scale 1/48 Char's Zaku II on the sides.
Closer up look on the parts of RG 1/144 Char's Zaku II
RG 1/144 and Mega Scale 1/48 Char's Zaku II
A professional modeller's MG GN-X
Custom PG 1/60 Gundam. It appears to be a BAKUC entry but I am not so sure on that
Whether you like it or not, PG 1/60 Strike Freedom sure takes the spotlight, or at least part of it.
Limited models that are sold in Gundam Expo Hong Kong 2010
Boxes of PG Strike Freedom, Formania Sazabi, RG Gundam and Char's Zaku
Gunpla of all sorts being sold in the shop section. As mentioned in previous years they are relatively expensive compared to the ones sold in hobby shops. Only the event exclusive ones are worth buying in the area IMHO.
Gundam headphones, 280HKD each
Display of limited merchandise sold in the event
1/144 HG Hyaku Shiki GPB Color (aka Byaku Shiki XD)
1/100 MG Destiny Gundam Heine Westenfluss Custom
SD Unicorn Gundam clear colour version.
Robot Damashii 00 Raiser GN Condensor type
Another display of Robot Damashii 00 Raiser GN Condensor type from a separate display cabinet
HG G30th Gundam clear colour version and SD Gundam clear colour version from a separate display cabinet
Rows of gashapon machines behind the shop area.
Looking down at the main venue from above. Not sure why they have made the centre area so empty this time compared to the previous years, where there's always something big showcasing there.
Overall Gundam Expo Hong Kong 2010 seems... Not as fabulous as the ones I have been in the past. Maybe I have gone there a bit too early, but I have not managed to see many BAKUC entries or events going on on the stage area. It may have been that I have been unlucky and chose some bad timing for it. Hopefully we will see this place being more lively and concentrated next time.

Wat were they selling over there?
ReplyDeleteDestiny with yellow colour scheme? Hmm... Interesting. A person-scale 00 and Unicorn?? And I'm strangely attracted to that clear SD Unicorn Gundam... It's looking real good!
ReplyDeleteAwesome, thanks again for the great coverage Buddy, I wish I could have been there. I like the PG RX-78-1 - reminds me of mine before I repainted it to the G3.
ReplyDeleteI see there's some new Stand Arts and FW Gatchapons coming out, that's awesome!
Ah the PG Strike Freedom Gundam. Still waiting for mine to be delivered. Actually, it's in the local depot near my family home cos I wanted to send it to where my other PG kits were but there's been bad weather all christmas so no deliveries.
ReplyDeleteHad I known it was there, I would have picked it up while I was back for the Christmas break!!!
The Gundam Converge series 2 looks good. The EFSF headset! O.o

@ Lightning Sabre:
That's supposedly Heine Westenfluss' (i.e. TM Revolution) custom colour. You're interested in the clear colour SD Unicorn Gundam? Interesting~ I wonder whether it's the red 'inner frame' that got you intereted ^^
@ korewagundam:
Glad you like my coverage, even though I haven't finished filling the captions yet!
The new Stand Arts will have S Gundam, Delta Plus, and Char's Gelgoog, the 2nd series for Gundam FW Converge looks promising!
@ gundamjehutykai:
Whoa so you will get PG Strike Freedom even though you don't like it much, because it's a PG o_o I'm sure you don't need my advice already, but do be careful of its fragile wings and their joints.
Too bad with the bad weather in UK; the snow storm seems to worsen recently. Hope you won't get to rage so much over the Strike Freedom compared to 00 Raiser, but it's hard to say how you'll experience it until you have your hands on it I suppose.
@ B-Mecha:
The 2nd series for Gundam FW Converge does look better than I thought. The headphones do look attractive, but the price kinda puts me off ^^;
Just posted Part 2 of the expo. The PG Gundam that was displayed that we saw the other day was replaced with Katoki's custom kits ^^
