UPDATE: New pictures added!

Figutto has updated its official website, and we now get to see the full colour sample of Reimu Hakurei from Touhou Project.

She will be available for pre-order on 18th November, and will be released in March 2010 for 3900 Yen (or 3990 Yen tax inclusive). EDIT: Pre-order is now available at AmiAmi English site.

For more info about this upcoming poesable figure series refer to this previous posting.

Around 16cm in height. Comes with stand and small container box for unused parts (not shown).

Compared to figma and Revoltechs, 3800 Yen seems rather pricey. I suppose the size and quality will be important factors, but still it's not gonna be cheap for budget collectors, especially when they have other poseable figure lines to consider as well. Figutto may have to rely on its wide variety of titles and series that they are currently working on, some of them include Zero no Tsukaima, Sekirei, Shining Wind, and The King of Fighters (KOF).

What about Tamaki? Isn't she supposed to be the first one to be released in February? Beats me...

Besides, with Max Factory's figma planning to release its version of Reimu in January, Figutto will face quite a bit of competition there. Despite being available only to certain stores I can see people screaming over the figma version already.

Also reported on Ngee Khiong (kinda unusual for him since he normally focuses on news of Gundam, gunpla, and other mecha-related stuff ^^)

  1. Probably it's Reimu first instead of Tamaki due to her popularity in the toy line now? Nendoroid, Figma, this Figutto and there's one pvc figure coming soon by GIFT. Not sure if she can sit or pose much with that stiff-looking skirt though =\. Hope to hear more good news soon.

  2. @ SC:
Not sure to be honest. I remember the site saying "第一弾" (first in the series) to be Reimu in the beginning though. Tamaki's info could be temporary, but I don't really know. You have a point on Touhou getting more attention in the toys and figures recently (e.g. 1/8 Flandre Scarlet will be released by Griffon in February next year, whereas her sister Remilia was released this September).

Btw I saw more info from your forum. Will probably update with more pictures later in the day.

  3. Y3800? Holy *bleep~!* O_O

That could kill our wallets. T_T

@SC: Looks like she'll be doing standing poses most of the time (well, she flies, right?). Unless of course you take off the skirt. XD

@Q: Looks like it'd be a looong time before I could my fingers on Figutto Tamaki. T_T

Haha. I was just simply posting. I usually got them from sites like yours, nekomagic, tomopop, and official websites. What isn't English or couldn't be translated, I just guess. I'll leave the proper stuffs to experts like you =P

  5. I quite like that Figutto Reimu, but yeah, 3800 is a hefty penny.

Yea I too didn't expect it to be that high...

    @ SC:
I am no different to you really; I simply browse through some blogs and forums for any interesting news or updates. For Japanese, I am ok with katakana, and for other texts I simply use an online translator such as that from Excite to do the job for me :o

    @ Snark:
Yea Figutto's Reimu isn't bad at all, but the price tag is quite off-putting, and there's also the option for people to buy the somewhat limited but cheaper figma one instead.

  7. at the moment I'm unable to secure a pre-order for Figma Reimu anywhere that isn't where the price isn't a lot worse, so I'm considering the Figutto, but I'd pick the Figma over it if I have a chance. It's good to have choices.

  8. Hello again. Not sure if any of you visited the official site lately, but there's info on Tamaki now. Apparently, she's cheaper at 3,200 yen (3,360 with tax)- probably due to the lack of clothings and accessories? XD Anyway, I think it says there that her release date is also in March, 2010 but pre-order only starts on Nov.26(?).

I heard that pre-order for figma Reimu was closed a while ago, so getting one will be hard until it is released, where you may be able to buy them via online auctions and such (but we all know that they can be risky). As you said, it's good that we do have Figutto as an alternative to consider, even though it's not of the same size and the price is a little dear I must say.

    @ SC:
Yea I noticed it some day before too. What you have given are correct, and Tamaki is indeed pushed back to March. Might blog about this too actually :o

    lol at your comment of her being cheaper due to lack of clothings ^^;

  10. From what I've seen, though price is important, it will not stop die-hard fans from collecting their favourite character(s).

You are right though, 4,000 yen is quite pricey for a pose able figure. Luckily, I've retired from buying pose able figures. ^^

  11. I like more Max Factory Reimu....

  12. @ Tommy:
I think people will prefer the figma one more than Figutto's one, be it the appearance or price. While availability is a question for the figma version, some people will probably hesitate on the relatively high price tag on the Figutto's version, despite how popular the character is, and that they get to have choices on which one to buy.

    @ Lightoss:
Given the appearance and price on the figma version, I am not surprised that people will prefer that one more than Figutto's version; I think Max Factory may have "stolen the game" on this one.
