ACGHK 2013 Part 3
Admittedly, I usually don't take many pictures of cosplays in conventions or events, because I am not really a big fan of them. However, I went with stepswalker for this year's ACGGK, who is into photography and cosplays (as well as dolls), so I took time to take a few pictures this time.
Umbrella Corporation troops from Biohazard / Resident Evil series
Shingeki no Kyojin (aka Attack on Titan) cosplay
A human size colossal titan
Yoshino from Date A Live
Sniper girl. Anyone know who she is?
Kobato from Haganai
Members of Class 0 from Final Fantasy Type-0
Megatron!
The Empire sent a few men to ACGHK
Wolverine
Digimon cosplays? Correct me if I am wrong.
Too bad I don't recognise who this girl is cosplaying as. Any ideas?
Kurousagi from Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai kara Kuru Sou Desu yo?
Desmond and Ezio from Assassin's Creed series.
Not sure who the character being cosplayed, but I am often intrigued by the wall of photographers and their cameras whenever "someone hot" came by.
The titan from before poses here and there among the passageways
Dejiko and Puchiko!
Another wall of cameras and photographers.
And for a few more miscellaneous pictures to finish the post off:
This year's convention has a lot of Iron Man figures on display from several local brands, ranging from the chibi ones all the way to 1/4 scale ones. I hope there won't be an overload of Iron Man figures in the market though, as there is getting a bit too many IMHO. :o
Tower of Saviors, a game heavily based on Puzzle & Dragon, had a huge stage at one corner of the venue, getting players to play against representatives in a battle of speed and finger-flicking. It did draw controversy from Puzzle & Dragon fans because the way Tower of Saviors was largely copied from the Japanese counterpart. The reason why it got popular was that Puzzle & Dragons is region restricted, meaning Hong Kong players aren't supposed to gain access to it, so Tower of of Saviors became an alternate game to play on.
A hat whose creature is supposedly based on the game League of Legends. Saw quite a lot of people wearing that in the convention. It was just as common as Luffy's hat from One Piece two years before.
Approaching sunset. Calling it a day~
This year's ACGGK seems to have more booths based on mobile phone apps, and there are also fewer event limited merchandise available for sale, which is possibly intended in order to reduce aftersales market.
I said there would be around 3 posts for ACGHK. Looks like my estimate was a bit off, as I still need to post on this year's Gunpla World Cup competition for Hong Kong region. I didn't get to take as many photos as I wanted, but hopefully it's still enough! Stay tuned for them!

Lots of good cosplayer you took. It's normal for hot cosplayer to have walls of photographers. As long the photographers are not pushy is fine.
ReplyDeleteHaving a point-and-shoot only, I often need closer distance than those with DSLRs to take pictures. This does put me to a bit of a disadvantage. Nevertheless it's always amusing to observe whenever a wall forms and disbands here and there.
DeleteThat one Titan cosplay is just freaky.
ReplyDeleteThe body suit of the colossal titan is impressive yet scary looking!
