Rock Cannon and Black Blade. The Rock Cannon is said to be 30cm long, which is the same height as the RAH Black★Rock Shooter figure itself.
Scheduled to be released in November 2011 with official retail price of 22,000 Yen. Pre-orders are now available on Hobby Search, AmiAmi, and HobbyLink Japan.
I must admit that I have an infatuation with this character design recently. But even though I want to like this figure, this version of B★RS looks a bit too thin for my taste -_-;
Oh well, I do have something bigger and more ambitious being planned right now.

I'm surprised that GSC partnered up with Medicom for this. I thought they were cozy with Max Factory, and I don't think they'd be happy with RAH figures cutting into their figma profits.
ReplyDeleteI love this design too, but like you said I think its a little thin for some reason. The proportions arent quite right...
ReplyDelete@ Nopy:
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed a cooperation that I didn't really expect, but I don't really think it will come into conflict with Max Factory's figma line as they are of different sizes and prices. This is likely to be a one-off thing like the GSC x Bandai Chogokin Miku.
@ C.Jin:
The proportions seem a little exaggerated, especially with the limbs. I wonder whether this has to do with one of huke's original drawings for B★RS.
It looks alright though I agree the limbs are pretty thin.
ReplyDeleteBtw Q, i dropped you an e-mail, your yahoo one. Please read and revert. ^_^
If you didn't receive it, contact me @ gordon008 at yahoo dot com dot sg
Thanks! ^o^
@ Gordonator:
ReplyDeleteIf the limbs look more to proportion I think I may lean more towards this than... Nevermind.
Checked & replied your email. Thanks for the contact!
Ooh this is kind of exciting!
ReplyDeleteThough I didn't realize how thin her arms were until you pointed it out. Now that's all I notice. Haha.
@ Yi:
ReplyDeleteI think her "lankines" doesn't look as obvious with her coat on as it covers some parts of her body in some ways ^^;
