The 2011 C3 Hong Kong is a hobby exhibition that took place from 11th to 13th March in Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). Run mainly by Japanese hobby firms, this is essentially the Hong Kong version of the C3 x Hobby event that takes place in Tokyo every summer, and it is the 2nd time since 2009 (there wasn't one in 2010).
I've visited the exhibition on 12th and 13th March. The main coverage will be split to 2 parts, and I'll try to fill the captions as much as possible, except for some cosplay pictures of which some of the characters I am not able to identify. Help will be greatly appreciated!

A group of One Piece cosplayers are posing for photo in a nearby hall. It is the same hall where tickets are sold if one hasn't got his/her yet (they could be bought from some convenience stores too).

2nd part to come sometime this weekend, which will be more Gundam-related. Hope you do like my coverage on C3 so far, and feel free to leave comments!
For some reason, I like Kadokawa area. It reminded me of a cinema area where the movie posters are being displayed. I mean the idea is that. Speaking of posters - I totally want that Gosick poster!
ReplyDeleteThe cosplayers must've worked really hard to come out with such amazing outfits. Very professional.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment!
You have made an interesting link on how the posters of light novels and anime series in Kadokawa area resembles movie posters in cinema. They fit in quite nicely and don't seem out of place while promoting what's hot right now.
While I am not so into cosplays, I do have to commend their effort and their share their enjoyment with so many people!
