Bought a large bag of gunpla earlier this week. Man I kinda wish they have other bags for me to hold them other than this which looks like a bin liner of some sort...
What on earth have I bought? You shall see after the jump.
And here's the answer:
5 boxes of HGUC 1/144 Ball twin set. Yes, that's 5 boxes there, which will give me 10 Balls to work on.
And yes I sure have the Balls to do that (laughs).
Oh yes mass produced cannon fodders for the win~ Having 2 Balls from each box is like spawning zerglings in StarCraft and StarCraft II, and just like the Zerg counterpart the Balls excels in quantity, overwhelming their enemies in numbers ^^;

ReplyDeleteSeriously though, how big are they? They can't be particularly large, being 1/144 and all. I don't remember the MG ball being particularly huge either, but they decked it with tonnes of details!
The Zergs aren't too bad if you have the psi disrupter =P

If you exclude the gun and the arms, the Ball itself is just a big bigger than a golf ball. This 1/144 version follows the original anime rendition. The MG version is a big redesign by Hajime Katoki, and he makes the Ball looks like no random cute cannon fodder!

Ack, the Psi Discrupter! BUT the Balls are ranged units compared to zerglings which are melee only :P
2 Balls in one box is not a bad deal, just like the 1/144 Loto from Gundam UC, and it's just like how zerglings are spawned ^^
Hey Buddy, nice pick up! I'd love to get a set too and have them displayed with my others, but I've got a lot on my plate right now. I can't wait to see your work on them though, should be awesome!

That's why just like the zerglings, the Balls will need other units in a combined force to be effective. In this case I will need some GMs... :o
