Figutto Tamaki Kousaka preview
First seen as a coloured sample last month, Figutto's Tamaki Kousaka bikini version (from ToHeart2) is ready for reservation!
Pre-order officially starts on 26th November and will end on 15th January. Tamaki will be released in March 2010 at a retail price of 3200 Yen (or 3360 Yen tax inclusive). In fact, pre-order is now available at AmiAmi English site.

~16 cm in height. Comes with a swim ring, 3 faces, and 4 pairs of hands in total (i.e. 2 extra faces and 3 pairs of hands). Like Reimu, it should also come with a stand and a box for storing unused parts.
Not as expensive as Reimu, but still not so cheap as it's the same price as... Say, the accessory abundant figma Signum. Nonetheless this is the first Tamaki I know to be released as a poseable figure. Not planning to get her, but I am pretty sure that some will fall for her... ^^;

I am still pretty amazed about their choice to release a swimsuit figure as their first figure.This means that theres full joint exposure and that some people might discard the figutto line.
ReplyDeleteIll keep an eye on this since theyll do some ecchi series I like ^^
@ Blowfish:
ReplyDeleteFigutto does seem rather confident to have a swimsuit figure as one of their first figures, and as you said it fully expose the joints used and can be unsightly to look at. Griffon seems to know what it's doing though, and I think Tamaki fans may fall for it anyway ^^;
I probably won't blog anymore on Figutto for the time being, unless they throw in something I really like. We shall keep an eye on this line for the time being :o
I'm keeping an eye on Figutto as well. Not ready to buy one yet but Reimu is still an option that I'm considering. This doesn't look too bad, but I really don't care about the character myself. Never got into ToHeart. I don't think she's bad for a jointed swimsuit figure though. I think they need to prove themselves if they plan to price higher than Revoltech/Figma
ReplyDeleteA nice view of her joints. Would be getting this (joints? what joints), if only the price isn't too dear... T_T
ReplyDeleteHaving her would be good for my 4koma.
Yoko: *achoo~!*
Yup, people will definitely fall for her. I think Griffon's line up is stronger than Max Factory's...who are just releasing a bunch of Fate S/N and Nanoha figmas nowadays.
ReplyDeleteI'm still waiting for Alter's announcement...or so I heard they'll be entering the action figure scene as well.
Tamanee looks awesome i think she is actuallt the first bikini action figure XD,i-con really does a great work!
ReplyDelete@ Persocom:
ReplyDeleteThe popularity of Tamaki, or Tamanee as fans call her affectionally, can be rather unbelievable, and new figures keep on rolling out as we speak :o
I agree with what you said about the price there. Griffon seems confident about it, and we shall see when Tamaki and Reimu come out next year.
@ BD77:
Yea if the price is to be a bit lower then it would attractive non-fans to give it a try too.
Haha if you buy her then Yoko will have a nice rival to pair up in your 4koma ^^;
@ Tommy:
Tamaki is one popular character, so yes some people will fall for her and buy it unquestioned. Other than the drawings we've seen last month, Griffon has only announced 2 figures so far, so I can't say whether it really has a stronger lineup than Max Factory's figma.
Haven't heard of Alter doing poseable figures yet, and
@ Lightoss:
She may very well be the first swimsuit poseable figure indeed, which is a very bold move I must say!
@Q: A rival and... a possible tsundere scene will arise... -_-;
ReplyDelete@ BD77:
ReplyDeleteHaha Yoko could lose her dominance if it should arise! ^^;; If only her price is to be a bit cheaper...
@Q Well, from what I've read here, they have Zero no Tsukaima, To Heart, Touhou, and QB. I think they'll sell no questions asked. :)
ReplyDelete@ Tommy:
ReplyDeleteHow did I manage to leave the previous reply incomplete?! Don't worry about that too much; I was only wanted to add that as Alter primarily focuses on scale figures its other stuff are kind of like short projects (e.g. trading figures). *sigh* Must have been that time of the year again where fatigue starts to crack me down...
You maybe right that the lineup can lead to good sells. So far Tamaki does look good, and some people will buy it for sure. What matters are the ones later in the lineup after people got the first impression of from owning / reading reviews of the first product. I will probably keep my lips shut for now until I see reviews or the actual product myself in the future.
